NDA government has brought remarkable change as far as empowering grass-root democracy is concerned and victory of BJP in DDC polls, emerging as the single largest party, will catapult development and help the party to further its cause of serving Indians selflessly.

This was stated by former Deputy Chief Minister while expressing gratitude to the Union Minister Anurag Thakur, who is the election in-charge for J&K, for their overwhelmed support in the DDC polls.

The senior BJP leader said that there is not an iota of doubt that BJP has become the first choice of people due to party’s prolific policies which focused entirely on public welfare and nation building. He asserted that visits by BJP’s national level leaders including Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani, MP and Punjabi singer Hansraj Hans, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh and Anurag Thakur, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, General VK Singh, Tarun Chug, Shahnawaz Hussain are indicative of the fact that entire BJP starting from top hierarchy to a ground level worker is committed to welfare of people.

Kavinder reiterated that progressive changes which took place in J&K after PM Narendra Modi-led government came into power including abrogation of contentious Article 370 and Article 35A, bringing region under direct control of Centre, elimination of terror mongers, stronger vigil along borders including IB, LOC and LAC, introduction of several laws which earlier were barred in the erstwhile State due to Art 370 barrier, and many others have convinced people considerably that BJP is the only party which values nationalism, public good and development the most.

The senior BJP leader said that Congress Party which used to be the first choice of people several decades ago has lost charm due to its anti-people policies and ‘corrupt’ leadership which devastated the country brazenly with scams that were gigantic and even beyond the perception of common man. He said that it is time to shun Congress, NC and PDP as these parties have already played spoil sport and dented the image of erstwhile State of J&K by betraying people continuously for over 70 years.

The Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the landslide victory of BJP in DDC polls had not only proved the victory of democracy over guns and bullets, but had also opened the eyes of so called Gupkar leaders who exploited the people of Kashmir valley for the last 70 years and deprived of their due rights. He said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the country’s development profile has witnessed tremendous growth. He emphasized the entire landscape of development in J&K will soon see the change which the people desired and deserved.
